Aston Carter in Irvine, CA is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist for a hybrid, contract-to-hire role. You will manage the full AP cycle, validate invoices, reconcile with the general ledger, and support monthly close.

The role requires strong Excel skills and experience with AP platforms like SAP/JDE, Emburse or Concur, and handling high volumes of invoices. This position is based in Irvine, offering hybrid work arrangements and a competitive hourly pay range.

Qualifications

• 5+ years progressive accounts payable experience including full-cycle processing.
• Ability to handle high volumes of invoices (approx. 200–300 per week).
• Strong hands-on AP skills: PO matching, GL reconciliations, payments.
• Advanced Excel skills for analysis and reporting.
• Experience with AP platforms such as SAP/JDE and automation tools.
• Experience with employee expense platforms (Emburse or Concur).

Responsabilités

• Manage full accounts payable cycle from receipt to payment.
• Validate invoices against POs and receiving docs before payment.
• Review employee expenses for accuracy and policy compliance.
• Reconcile AP activity to the GL and investigate variances.
• Maintain vendor records and respond to inquiries from vendors and internal partners.
• Coordinate payments via check, ACH, wire and other approved methods.
• Support monthly/annual close and AP accruals.
