Job summary

Aston Carter is hiring an Accounts Payable Supervisor in Bloomington, MN for a hybrid contract-to-hire role. The position oversees day-to-day AP, manages invoice approvals, vendor payments, and reconciliations while partnering with procurement, operations, and finance to improve processes and support strategic decisions.

The role leads a small AP team, supports month-end close and audit requests, and contributes to cash flow forecasting within a growth-focused organization.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years hands-on accounts payable experience.
• Minimum 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of AP processes, vendor payments and reconciliations.
• Experience with three-way matching and PO-based payments.
• Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day AP to ensure accurate invoice processing and timely payments.
• Manage approvals, payment runs, and workflow controls in line with policies.
• Perform vendor reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Address AP issues, disputes, inquiries, and vendor concerns.
• Collaborate with procurement, operations, and finance to resolve PO/receipt discrepancies.
• Lead and develop a team of AP Specialists and foster a high-performing culture.
• Support month-end close, accruals, reconciliations, and audit requests.
• Assist cash flow forecasting and provide timely payment timing information.
• Drive process improvements and adoption of ERP/AP automation tools.
