Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to own full-cycle AP processes and mentor junior team members. The role emphasizes timely payments via ACH, wires, and checks, plus ongoing process improvements across Procurement, Finance, and Operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounts payable experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and AP processes.
• Proficiency with SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite and Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle accounts payable processing.
• Ensure timely weekly/biweekly payment runs via ACH, wire, checks.
• Reconcile AP subledger to general ledger and assist close.
• Research and resolve complex vendor issues with professionalism.
• Review and improve AP policies and internal controls.
• Mentor junior AP team members.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, and Operations.
• Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency.
