Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking an AP Manager to lead the accounts payable function and drive accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. You will manage a team handling invoices, payments, and reconciliations while maintaining strong vendor relationships.

The role requires 5+ years in AP with at least 2 years in leadership, proficiency in SAP/Oracle/NetSuite, and deep GAAP knowledge. This is a on-site position supporting Louisville operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of accounts payable experience with at least 2 years in a managerial/supervisory role.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounts payable best practices.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills for cross-functional work.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the AP team, fostering a high-performance environment.
• Oversee end-to-end AP processes including invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
• Build and maintain vendor relationships and resolve issues with stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with policies and internal controls to prevent errors/fraud.
• Continuously evaluate and improve AP processes with automation opportunities.
• Oversee month-end close activities and provide AP-focused reporting to accounting.
• Prepare and analyze AP metrics and present findings to senior management.
