Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Sr. Anesthesia Technician who supports anesthesia providers across multiple locations, including OR, Cath Lab, and ICU. You will set up and monitor anesthesia equipment, troubleshoot devices, and ensure readiness of supplies.

The role also involves mentoring junior staff and maintaining high safety and quality standards. The candidate should have an associate degree in anesthesia technology or equivalent health-related field, and ASATT certification or path to it.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Anesthesia Technology or related health field required or equivalent experience.
• ASATT certification preferred or required depending on path to qualification.
• Two years anesthesia tech experience with ASATT OR three years with degree; five years if no degree/ASATT.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; other certifications as specified.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia support across OR, Cath Lab, Endoscopy and other locations.
• Set up, operate and monitor patient equipment; troubleshoot anesthesia devices.
• Mentor and train junior anesthesia techs; support team education.
• Maintain readiness of supplies and equipment; ensure safety and compliance.
