Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Sr. Anesthesia Technician for a part-time schedule (Mon, Tue, Thu, 3P-11P). The role supports anesthesia providers, maintains equipment readiness across OR, Cath Lab, and other locations, and mentors junior staff.

Requires an Associate degree and ASATT or equivalent experience, with BLS and Cer.A.T. certifications. The successful candidate will work independently, demonstrate strong clinical skills, and communicate effectively with anesthesiology teams to ensure

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; either in Anesthesia Technology with certification or in a health-related field if no certification.
• Experience options include 2 years with ASATT certification, 3 years with an Associate's degree, or 5 years with no degree or certification.
• Licenses: BLS (or instructor) and Cer.A.T. certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia support to providers and the care team during procedures.
• Set up and initiate patient monitoring in OR, Cath Lab, Endoscopy, and other zones.
• Mentor and train anesthesia tech staff and new hires.
• Maintain readiness and safety of equipment and supplies at all times.
