Job summary

The Anesthesia Technician at HCA Houston Healthcare Medical Center supports the anesthesia team by preparing equipment, organizing supplies, and ensuring a safe environment throughout surgical procedures. You will assist with transfers, positioning, monitoring devices, and quickly respond to emergencies, while upholding infection prevention and patient privacy.

This role emphasizes teamwork and patient-centered care in a high-volume surgical setting.

Qualifications

At least 1 year of experience is required.
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

Prepare and organize anesthesia equipment and supplies by reviewing surgery schedules.
Set up, transport, and maintain anesthesia carts and equipment.
Assist patients with transfers, positioning, preparation, and non-invasive monitoring devices.
Act quickly and confidently in emergencies.
Maintain clean and safe environment following infection prevention practices.
Communicate openly with patients, families, and team while protecting privacy.
