Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Sr. Anesthesia Technician (AT) to support anesthesia providers across ORs, Cath Lab, Endoscopy, and perioperative areas. You will set up and troubleshoot equipment, monitor patients, and mentor other ATs.

Requirements include an Associate degree or equivalent experience, ASATT certification or appropriate years of experience, and BLS plus Cer.A.T. certification. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; either in Anesthesia Technology with certification or in equivalent health-related field if no certification
• In lieu of Associate's degree, must meet experience requirements
• Must meet one of the following: two years of Anesthesia Tech experience with ASATT certification OR three years of Anesthesia Tech experience with an Associate's degree in a health-related field OR five years Anesthesia Tech experience if no degree and no ASATT certification

Responsibilities

• Independently and competently performs anesthesia support activities in all monitoring and locations where anesthesia is performed
• Assists anesthesia providers and other team members before, during, and after procedures
• Serves as point‑of‑care testing super user for applicable modalities
• Promotes a positive work environment and collaborates with patient care team
