Job summary

Kearney & Company in Alexandria, VA is seeking a DON Senior Analyst to join our team supporting one of the Federal government’s largest agencies. You will collaborate with government POCs to perform audit responses, remediation, internal controls, and GAAP/SFFAS-based financial processes.

Preferred candidates have DoD data analytics experience, CPA or CGFM/CDFM or related certifications, and a willingness to obtain/maintain a security clearance.

Qualifications

• BA/BS/BBA degree from an accredited college/university.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive, relevant experience.
• Experience working with DoD clients.
• Experience in DoD data analytics, financial statement auditing, audit remediation, or audit readiness.
• Ability to obtain and maintain US Security Clearance (requires U.S. citizenship).
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with government POCs to perform audit response, audit remediation, internal controls, financial processes, and/or accounting in accordance with GAAP, SFFAS, and/or relevant policies.
• Understand the end-to-end business processes of the Department of the Navy (DON) and apply relevant GAAP.
• Execute the day-to-day research, analysis, and communication at the direction of the Kearney & Company Team Lead.
• Communicate status of project-related tasks to Team Lead.
• Draft/update communication artifacts (SOPs, Desktop Guides, whitepapers).
• Demonstrate strong customer service skills and the ability to work in high-pressure deadlines.
