Job summary

Kearney & Company seeks an Accounting and Financial Reporting Consultant to support a major federal agency, including the Navy audit response, internal controls, and GAAP/SFFAS compliance. You will analyze information, draft remediation solutions, review NFRs, and develop CAPs with actionable milestones for the Audit Roadmap.

This role requires onsite presence in Alexandria, VA, up to 25% travel, and an active Interim Secret Clearance.

Qualifications

• BA/BS/BBA degree from an accredited college/university.
• Minimum 4 years of progressive, relevant experience.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.
• Minimum 2-3 days per week on site in Alexandria, VA or Washington, DC.
• Active Interim Secret Clearance (or higher) and U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Support Navy audit response, remediation, internal controls and GAAP/SFFAS.
• Manage day-to-day research, analysis, and client communication.
• Analyze information and provide financial reporting remediation solutions.
• Review NFRs, document investigations, and propose corrective actions.
• Develop CAPs with milestones aligned to Audit Roadmap.
• Draft and update SOPs, desktop guides, and whitepapers.
• Lead and review work of Senior Associates; communicate status to team and client.
