Kearney & Company is seeking a Consultant to join our team supporting one of the Federal government’s largest agencies. The role involves audit response, remediation, internal controls, and financial processes in line with GAAP, SFFAS, and Treasury/OMB policies.

You will perform data analysis, draft communications such as SOPs and whitepapers, and coordinate with government stakeholders. The position requires onsite presence 2-3 days weekly near Quantico/Alexandria, and up to 25% travel, with a

Qualifications

• BA/BS/BBA degree from an accredited college/university.
• Minimum 4 years of Financial Management experience.
• Ability to be onsite 2-3 days a week between Quantico, VA or Alexandria, VA.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.
• Must have an active Interim Secret Clearance (or higher) to be considered for this role (requires U.S. citizenship).

Responsibilities

• Supporting a DOW entity for audit response, audit remediation, internal controls, financial processes, and/or accounting in accordance with GAAP, SFFAS, and/or relevant Treasury and/or OMB policies.
• Executing the day-to-day research, analysis, and communication at the direction of the Kearney & Company Team Lead.
• Utilizing data analysis technology to analyze information.
• Drafting/updating communication artifacts (e.g., Standard Operating Procedures, Desktop Guides, whitepapers).
• Demonstrating strong customer service skills and the ability to work in occasional high-pressure situations with short deadlines.
• Communicating status of project-related tasks to Team Lead.
