Job summary

Brooks Brothers is seeking a skilled Fitter/Tailor to deliver expert alterations and fabric knowledge in our Alterations department. You will sew, fit, measure, and tailor garments while ensuring exceptional service and adherence to brand standards.

This role reports to the Store Manager and requires a detail-oriented, team-focused professional committed to Brooks Brothers’ legendary service. Applicants should have at least 5 years of tailoring experience, solid knowledge of garment

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years tailoring experience.
Knowledge of clothing and shirt construction and fabrics.
Retail or custom clothing sales experience preferred.
Flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays.
Able to communicate with customers on the sales floor.
Proficient with special-order tools, fabrics and programs.

Responsibilities

Sew, measure, hem and fit garments to meet customer needs using Brooks Brothers methods and specs.
Achieve personal productivity and assist in meeting store productivity goals.
Utilize Brooks Brothers systems to meet productivity goals.
Provide highest level of quality and customer service within set deadlines.
Repair or replace defective garment parts (pockets, zippers, buttons, linings).
Follow company policies and maintain a clean, organized store environment.
Collaborate with store team for seamless workflow and brand representation.
