Job summary

Brooks Brothers seeks a skilled Fitter/Tailor within our Alterations department to deliver expert alterations and fabric knowledge to customers, ensuring garments are fitted precisely and presented with care.

Reporting to the Store Manager, you will sew, measure, hem, and tailor garments to meet client needs, while using Brooks Brothers systems to maintain productivity and uphold our legendary service standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' tailoring experience.
• Knowledge of clothing/shirt construction and fabrics.
• Retail or custom clothing sales experience.
• Scheduling flexibility including days/nights/weekends/holidays.
• Ability to communicate with customers on the sales floor.
• Proficiency with special order tools, fabrics and programs.

Responsibilities

• Achieve personal productivity and assist in meeting productivity goals.
• Sew, measure, hem, and fit garments using approved methods.
• Utilize Brooks Brothers systems to meet productivity targets.
• Provide highest level of quality and customer service within call dates.
• Repair or replace defective garment parts (pockets, zippers, buttons, linings).
• Adhere to company policies and associate handbook.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and organized store environment.
• Work with store team to ensure seamless workflow.
• Represent the brand with legendary service expectations.
