Job summary

Brooks Brothers is seeking a Fitter/Tailor in our Alterations department to deliver expert alterations, fabric knowledge, and outstanding service to our customers. You will sew, hem, measure, and fit garments to meet individual needs using Brooks Brothers approved methods.

The role reports to the Store Manager and requires strong attention to detail, flexibility for days, nights, weekends and holidays, and a commitment to the Brooks Brothers brand and legendary service expectations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in tailoring.
• Knowledge of clothing and shirt construction and fabrics.
• Retail or custom clothing sales experience preferred.
• Scheduling flexibility for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to communicate with customers on the sales floor.
• Proficiency with fabric and tailoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Sew, measure, hem, and fit garments to customer specifications.
• Achieve personal productivity and support store productivity goals.
• Maintain high quality and service within set timelines.
• Repair or replace garment parts such as pockets, zippers, buttons, linings.
• Uphold Brooks Brothers policies and store standards.
• Keep a clean, organized store environment and assist in workflow.
• Represent the brand with professional appearance and service.
