Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Winston-Salem, NC seeks a visionary leader to oversee a team of Engineering Project Leads and Project Engineers responsible for integrating complex seating actuation systems for commercial aircraft interiors.

You will champion design excellence, drive schedule and budget success, and foster innovation and collaboration. This onsite role requires aerospace leadership experience and a passion for development and strategic product delivery.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
• Experience in the aerospace industry is required.
• Do178/Do254 software/hardware certification experience is preferred.
• Previous project management experience is required.
• Experience with RTCA DO-160/DO-254 and related standards is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a team of Engineering Project Leads and Project Engineers delivering complex seating actuation systems.
• Monitor project health metrics to ensure on-time, in-scope, and within-budget delivery.
• Translate customer and business requirements into executable project plans and cost estimates.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, quality, supply chain, and finance.
• Develop, implement, and maintain standardized project management processes within the department.
• Oversee capacity planning, resourcing, and long-term project forecasting.
• Mentor talent and foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
