Job summary

WSP USA seeks an experienced Air Quality Project Manager to advance air permitting, compliance, and dispersion modeling for industrial and energy sector clients across the U.S.

The role requires 10+ years of applicable experience, strong leadership, and proficiency with AERMOD/CALPUFF. Colleague collaboration spans national and regional teams, with emphasis on client relationships and growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field as listed.
• 10+ years in air quality permitting, dispersion modeling, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience managing complex projects with scope, schedule, budget, and profitability.
• Strong expertise in PSD, NSR, Title V, emissions inventories, and regulatory evaluations.
• Advanced experience with AERMOD and CALPUFF.
• Experience working with environmental regulatory agencies.
• Proven leadership and mentoring of technical staff.
• Business development and client relationship experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead air quality permitting, compliance, and modeling projects for industrial and energy clients nationwide.
• Manage project delivery including scope, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, resources, QA, and risk management.
• Serve as senior reviewer for air quality analyses and permit applications.
• Provide guidance on NSR, PSD, Title V, and emissions regulations.
• Act as primary client relationship manager for key accounts.
• Lead business development and client engagement efforts.
• Collaborate with leadership to support growth and market expansion.
• Mentor junior staff across multidisciplinary teams.
• Coordinate cross-office teams to deliver integrated environmental solutions.
• Represent WSP with regulatory agencies and professional associations.
