Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an experienced Air Quality Project Manager to lead permitting, compliance, and dispersion modeling initiatives for industrial and energy clients across the U.S. The role emphasizes client relationship management, team leadership, and cross‑functional collaboration.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in air quality analyses, regulatory programs, and mentoring junior professionals, with opportunities to drive business development and practice growth nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 10+ years of air quality permitting, dispersion modeling, regulatory compliance, and environmental consulting.
• Experience managing complex projects with scope, schedule, budget, and profitability.
• Strong expertise in PSD, NSR, Title V permitting and emissions inventories.
• Advanced experience using AERMOD and other air quality modeling platforms.
• Experience working with environmental regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead air quality permitting, compliance, and modeling projects for industrial and energy sector clients nationwide.
• Manage project delivery, including scope, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, resources, QA, and risk management.
• Serve as a senior technical reviewer for air quality analyses and permit applications.
• Provide strategic guidance on NSR, PSD, Title V permitting and emissions regulations.
• Act as primary client relationship manager for key accounts and long-term partnerships.
• Lead business development, client engagement, and proposal development.
• Collaborate with national and regional leadership to support growth and market expansion.
• Mentor and develop junior staff across disciplines.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated environmental solutions.
• Represent WSP before regulatory agencies and professional associations.
