WSP USA is seeking an experienced Air Quality Project Manager to lead nationwide permitting, modeling, and regulatory compliance efforts for industrial and energy clients. Candidates should bring 10+ years in air quality work, strong project management, and advanced knowledge of PSD/NSR/Title V, with AERMOD/CALPUFF experience. Ohio Texas and other U.S.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in air quality permitting, air dispersion modeling, regulatory compliance, and environmental consulting.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills overseeing complex projects and client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex air quality permitting, compliance, and modeling projects for industrial and energy sector clients nationwide.
  • Manage project delivery, including scope development, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, resource allocation, quality assurance, and risk management.
  • Serve as a senior technical reviewer and subject matter expert for air quality analyses, emissions inventories, regulatory assessments, and permit applications.
  • Provide strategic guidance on NSR, PSD, Title V, state permitting programs, emissions regulations, and emerging regulatory requirements.
  • Act as the primary client relationship manager for key accounts, ensuring exceptional service and long-term partnerships.
  • Lead business development efforts, including client engagement, proposal development, strategic pursuits, and expansion of existing client relationships.
  • Collaborate with national and regional leadership to support practice growth initiatives and market expansion.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers, scientists, meteorologists, and project managers through technical guidance and leadership.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across WSP business lines to deliver integrated environmental and engineering solutions.
  • Represent WSP before regulatory agencies, industry organizations, and professional associations.
