Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an experienced Air Quality Project Manager to join our Environmental Team. You will lead complex air quality permitting, compliance, and modeling projects for industrial and energy clients across the United States, delivering innovative regulatory solutions and high-quality insights.

Based in a Columbus or other US office, you will mentor junior staff, manage scope, budget, and schedule, and expand client relationships while coordinating across multiple WSP lines to provide

Qualifications

• 10+ years of air quality permitting and modeling experience.
• Experience managing complex projects with scope, schedule, budget.
• Strong expertise in PSD, NSR, Title V permits.
• Proficiency with AERMOD and CALPUFF.

Responsibilities

• Lead air quality permitting, compliance, and modeling projects nationwide.
• Manage project delivery including budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, QA and risk management.
• Serve as senior technical reviewer for emissions inventories, regulatory assessments, and permit applications.
• Provide guidance on NSR, PSD, Title V and regulatory requirements.
• Act as the primary client relationship manager for key accounts, ensuring quality service and long-term partnerships.
• Lead business development and proposals to expand client relationships.
• Coordinate with national/regional leadership to support growth initiatives.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers, scientists, meteorologists, and PMs.
• Represent WSP before regulatory agencies and industry associations.
