Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking a Senior Customer Engineer for AI & Startups in San Francisco. This role centers on pre-sales engineering for the developer-first Cloudflare platform, engaging with startups, founders, and engineers to shape AI-driven internet solutions.

You will lead technical discovery, deliver compelling demos, and map customer needs to Cloudflare capabilities across Workers, AI, R2, KV, and related services. Strong communication with both engineers and executives is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer-facing technical role.
• Ability to translate customer needs into technical solutions.
• Experience selling to startups or developer-led teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery within the cloud-developer vertical to uncover customer goals and Cloudflare fit.
• Engage early in discovery calls, qualify deals, and stay embedded with customer teams during the cycle.
• Map customer initiatives and AI plans to the Cloudflare platform and roadmap.
• Build relationships with engineers, developers, and CTOs within accounts.
• Develop and present tailored technical content and demos for developers and leadership.
• Lead demo and proof-of-concept builds and evangelize the Cloudflare Developer Platform.
• Create reference architectures, demos, blog posts and other knowledge-sharing material.
• Represent Cloudflare at developer, community, tech, and industry events with thought leadership.
