R1 RCM, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead AI-assisted development across the stack for secure, scalable production systems in the U.S. Remote work within the country is supported.

You will orchestrate agents, design a robust development environment, and ensure code quality through automated tests, reviews, and adherence to data-handling requirements including HIPAA. A competitive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of software engineering experience with AI-assisted development.
• Proven track record delivering production software via AI coding agents.
• Strong knowledge of cloud, APIs, databases, and CI/CD.
• Experience with secure development in regulated environments, HIPAA-ready.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of secure, scalable software using AI agents.
• Coordinate multiple agents and parallel workstreams with clear tasks and criteria.
• Design and maintain the agentic development environment and CI/CD guardrails.
• Set standards for AI-generated code with tests, reviews, and security checks.
• Lead integrations with third-party AI platforms and LLM APIs.
• Advance engineering practices around automation, testing, data modeling, and APIs.
• Mentor junior engineers in prompting and context engineering.
