Job summary

NeueHealth seeks a Senior AI Engineer to lead the design, delivery, and production operation of complex healthcare AI products. You will translate real-world workflows into scalable, configuration-driven decision logic and collaborate across Product, Engineering, Data, and Security teams.

The role emphasizes patient data safety, HITRUST-aligned controls, and implementing agentic workflows, RAG systems, and AI services at enterprise scale in a remote setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and hands-on AI/ML production experience.
• Expertise in service and data-contract design, testing, CI/CD, observability, debugging, reliability, and operational support.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, Scala, C#, TypeScript or similar languages.
• Experience with cloud services and data-intensive systems; collaboration across structured/unstructured data.
• Healthcare domain experience with PHI/PII, regulatory controls, and enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data, and clinical/operational teams.
• Translate stakeholder needs into validated, access-aware AI workflows with clear criteria, risk controls, and delivery trade-offs.
• Design AI workflow and RAG product lines, including ingestion, retrieval quality, attribution, and human-review paths.
• Implement workflows with reliable AI control layers and optimize models across prompting, retrieval, reranking, fine-tuning, and selection.
• Own healthcare AI evaluation and release frameworks with testing, gates, and telemetry.
