Job summary

R1 RCM, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its US-based AI-driven platform, Phare OS, within R37. You will lead secure, scalable production software leveraging AI coding agents across database, service, and UI layers.

You will orchestrate parallel AI workflows, establish reliable development environments, and ensure output meets tests, security, and HIPAA requirements. Mentorship to engineers is essential.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of software engineering experience including production AI-assisted development.
• Expert-level experience delivering production software through AI coding agents.
• Advanced prompting and context-engineering skills and verification against tests.
• Experience with APIs, databases, CI/CD, Agile delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and sustainment of secure, scalable production software using AI agents.
• Orchestrate multiple agents and parallel workstreams with clear tasks and criteria.
• Design and maintain the team's agentic development environment and CI/CD guardrails.
• Validate AI-generated code via automated tests, reviews, and security checks.
• Lead integrations with third‑party AI platforms and APIs, partnering cross-functionally.
• Advance engineering practices across automation, data modeling, and cloud delivery.
• Mentor junior engineers in prompting, architecture, and AI output review.
