R1 RCM Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the development and sustainment of secure, scalable software that leverages AI coding agents for production-grade solutions.

You will orchestrate multiple agents and workflows, shaping an environment with reusable prompts, commands, and robust CI/CD guardrails. You will mentor engineers, drive integration with AI platforms and APIs, and push advances in automated testing, data modeling, and cloud-native delivery while ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of software engineering experience with production use of AI-assisted or agentic development.
• Expert-level experience delivering production software through AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools.
• Advanced prompting and context-engineering skills for reliable workflows around model strengths and failure modes.
• Experience configuring agent tooling and CI integration of agents.
• Expert code-reading and architecture-review skills across the full stack (C#, Java, TypeScript) and modern JS frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and sustainment of secure, scalable production software using AI coding agents across database, service, and application layers.
• Orchestrate multiple agents and parallel workstreams by decomposing complex features into well-scoped tasks with clear context, constraints, acceptance criteria and verification plans.
• Design and maintain the team's agentic development environment, including project context files, reusable prompts, custom commands, and CI/CD guardrails.
• Set the standard for AI-generated code by validating output through automated testing, code review, security checks, performance measurement, and HIPAA/data-handling compliance.
• Lead integrations with third-party AI platforms, LLM APIs, and AI-powered IVR or conversational solutions in collaboration with Product Management and Engineering teams.
• Advance engineering practices across automation, auditability, infrastructure-as-code, data modeling, API development, and cloud-native delivery.
• Mentor junior engineers in prompting, context engineering, and critical review of AI output.
