Job summary

Credence is seeking a Senior AI Software Engineer to design, develop, and deploy AI-driven solutions for federal clients. You will lead generative AI, LLM-powered apps, and agentic AI systems while guiding technical direction and mentoring engineers.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable AI capabilities, implement DevSecOps practices, and ensure mission-focused outcomes across platforms and cloud services.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters in CS, AI/ML or related field.
• 7+ years of hands-on software engineering with AI/ML in production.
• Experience building generative AI with LLMs and tool calling.
• Experience designing agentic AI solutions with various frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of AI APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Bedrock, Vertex AI).
• Proficiency in TypeScript; familiarity with Nx, Next.js, Vercel SDK, Playwright, Jest, Vite.
• Python proficiency with Pydantic, FastAPI, LangChain, CrewAI.
• CI/CD (GitLab), VS Code, and AI extensions.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, prototyping of AI-powered capabilities.
• Own end-to-end agentic AI development lifecycles and tool calling.
• Apply software engineering principles for scalable systems.
• Collaborate with data, cloud, and mission stakeholders.
• Design IaC, CI/CD pipelines, containers, and cloud services.
• Monitor post-deployment performance and optimize reliability.
• Write clean, well-documented code adhering to federal guidelines.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to reusable standards.
