Credence is seeking a Senior AI Software Engineer to design, develop, and deploy advanced AI-driven solutions for federal clients. You will lead AI-powered capabilities, guide engineering practices, and mentor teams while partnering with engineers, data scientists, cloud engineers, and stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable AI outcomes.

The role emphasizes responsible innovation, mission impact, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced government-facing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS/AI/ML or related field.
• 7+ years of hands-on software engineering, with production AI/ML delivery.
• Experience building generative AI apps and working with LLMs.
• Experience with agentic AI frameworks and tool calling.
• Strong knowledge of AI APIs and platforms (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Bedrock, Vertex).
• Proficiency in TypeScript and familiarity with the listed libraries.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of AI-powered capabilities using GenAI and LLMs.
• Own end-to-end agentic AI lifecycles, including tool calling and deployment.
• Apply strong software engineering principles and code reviews.
• Collaborate with data, cloud, and mission stakeholders to deliver AI solutions.
• Design IaC and CI/CD workflows for secure, scalable AI delivery.
• Monitor, tune performance, and ensure reliability post-deployment.
• Document systems and mentor engineers on best practices.
