Job summary

Robinhood Markets, Inc. is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the AI Security team in the Menlo Park, CA and Bellevue, WA offices. This hands-on role builds a scalable AI platform, with emphasis on identity, authentication, authorization, encryption, and platform safety, enabling secure AI-enabled security capabilities at scale.

You will partner with security and engineering teams to create reusable platform capabilities and guardrails, shaping how AI is securely adopted across Robinhood.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years of experience building large-scale distributed systems with security focus.
• Experience building AI platforms or production systems for AI-powered apps.
• Proficiency in Go or Python with strong debugging skills.
• Experience with cloud-native platforms and distributed systems technologies (AWS, Kubernetes, gRPC, Kafka).
• Strong understanding of security and designing secure production systems.
• Experience designing reusable platform capabilities and developer tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design and build a scalable AI platform for security teams to develop AI-powered agents.
• Develop platform services, APIs, libraries, and SDKs for AI integration into security workflows.
• Design secure systems with identity, authentication, authorization, encryption, and data protection controls.
• Build and operate large-scale distributed systems supporting AI-powered security use cases.
• Develop guardrails to safely build and operate AI agents on the platform.
• Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and engineering teams to translate needs into platform capabilities.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance, reliability, and security through automation.
• Help shape the technical direction and architecture of Robinhood’s AI Security platform.
