Job summary

Samsara is hiring for an AI-forward security engineering role focused on applied AI and security across software, firmware, and hardware. You will drive AI safety, build guardrails, and partner with cross-functional teams to secure frontier AI deployments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in application security, vulnerability management, threat modeling, or related field.
• Hands-on experience building AI or agentic workflows for security use cases.
• Experience conducting technical security assessments across software and hardware/firmware.
• Experience creating secure code solutions with engineers using GoLang.
• Experience developing AI/agentic solutions using Github and AWS cloud.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate security assessments of Samsara's software, code, and firmware against AI-driven attacks.
• Translate AI security findings into Samsara-specific fixes for the application security layer.
• Identify AI-specific and traditional vulnerabilities (e.g., injection, IDOR).
• Build and test AI-enabled security tooling and drive adoption across security teams.
• Support vulnerability triage and help run the bug bounty program, potentially including hardware.
• Partner with engineering, hardware, and leadership; present findings to executives as AI security expert.
• Help define medium- and long-term AI adoption strategy within security operations.
