Job summary

Samsara is seeking a senior security engineer at the intersection of security engineering and applied AI. This AI-forward technologist on the Application Security team will use frontier AI models to strengthen and stress-test security, with a path to shape Samsara's AI security strategy for years to come.

This is a remote position open to US candidates (excluding SF Bay, NYC, and DC metro areas). You will assess AI-driven threats, translate findings into fixes, build AI-enabled security tooling,

Qualifications

• 8+ years in application security, vulnerability management, or related discipline.
• Hands-on experience applying AI/LLM tools to security workflows with automation.
• Experience conducting technical security assessments across software and hardware/firmware.
• Experience creating secure code solutions with engineers using GoLang; AWS experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver AI-driven security assessments of Samsara's software, code, and firmware against AI threats and fixes.
• Translate AI security findings into Samsara-specific fixes for the application security layer.
• Build and pressure-test AI-enabled security tooling and workflows for broad adoption.
• Partner cross-functionally with engineering, hardware, and leadership as the AI security expert.
• Help define and drive Samsara's long-term AI security strategy.
• Use frontier AI/LLM tools hands-on for offensive validation and defensive tooling.
