Job summary

Samsara is building a new AI security role at the intersection of security engineering and applied AI. You’ll be the apex AI-forward technologist on the AppSec team, using frontier AI models to identify vulnerabilities across cloud, software and firmware, and shaping Samsara's AI security strategy.

This role supports a flexible remote model in the United States, with opportunities to influence security practices, work with engineering, hardware and leadership, and mentor others as Samsara scales.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in application security, vulnerability management, or related field.
• Hands-on experience building AI or agentic workflows for security use cases.
• Experience conducting technical security assessments across software and hardware/firmware.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate security assessments of Samsara's software, code, and firmware against AI-driven attacks and fixes.
• Translate AI security findings into Samsara-specific fixes for our AppSec layer.
• Identify AI-specific and traditional vulnerabilities (e.g., injection, IDOR) using AI-driven validation.
• Build and test AI-enabled security tooling and drive adoption across security org.
