Job summary

Samsara is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer at the intersection of security engineering and applied AI. You’ll be the AI-forward technologist on AppSec, using frontier AI models to find vulnerabilities across cloud, software, and firmware before attackers do.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in application security, vulnerability management, threat modeling, or a closely related discipline.
• Hands-on experience building AI or agentic workflows for security use cases.
• Experience conducting technical security assessments across software and hardware/firmware environments.
• Experience in creating solutions for secure code with engineers using GoLang.
• Experience developing AI and agentic solutions using Github and AWS cloud.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate, consistent security assessments of Samsara’s software, code, and firmware against AI-driven attacks and fixes.
• Translate AI security findings into Samsara-specific fixes for the application security layer.
• Find AI-specific and traditional vulnerabilities using AI-driven validation.
• Build and test novel AI-enabled security tooling and workflows and drive adoption.
• Benchmark frontier models for security tasks and define guardrails for adoption.
• Support AppSec vulnerability triage and help run the bug bounty program.
• Partner with engineering, hardware, and leadership; present findings to executives as the go-to AI security expert.
• Help define and drive Samsara’s AI security strategy within security operations.
• Use frontier AI/LLM tools hands-on for offensive validation and defensive tooling.
