Job summary

Samsara is seeking an AI-forward Security Engineer at the intersection of security engineering and applied AI. You will assess vulnerabilities across software and firmware, shape AI security strategy, and build guardrails for safe AI adoption.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in app security, hands-on AI workflows, and experience with GoLang, AWS, and GitHub. This role supports a flexible remote/hybrid model and offers strong total rewards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in application security, vulnerability management, threat modeling, or a closely related discipline.
• Hands-on experience building AI or agentic workflows for security use cases.
• Experience conducting technical security assessments across software and hardware/firmware environments.
• Experience in creating secure code solutions with engineers using languages such as GoLang.
• Experience developing AI and agentic solutions using Github and AWS cloud.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate security assessments of Samsara's software, code, and firmware against AI-driven attacks.
• Translate AI security findings into Samsara-specific fixes for the application security layer.
• Find AI-specific and traditional vulnerabilities using AI-driven validation.
• Build and pressure-test AI-enabled security tooling and workflows; drive adoption across security org.
• Benchmark frontier models for security tasks and establish guardrails for adoption.
• Support AppSec vulnerability triage and help run the bug bounty program, with potential hardware scope.
• Partner with engineering, hardware, and leadership; present findings to security and exec leadership.
• Help define and drive Samsara's AI security strategy for long-term adoption.
