Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to embed with Forward Deployed Engineering teams, owning the security posture of production AI systems deployed at customer environments.

You perform threat modeling, build automation, and ensure AWS and customer security standards are met. You’ll work across design reviews, CI/CD gates, and security tooling, with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in security across applications, cloud and AI security.
• 2+ languages among Scala/Java/Python/C/C++/Go.
• 4+ years scripting and security code review.
• Threat modeling and penetration testing experience.
• Experience with security in cloud environments and OEM integrations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security design reviews, threat modeling, and architecture assessments for production AI systems.
• Embed with FDE delivery teams to assess security posture and implement controls.
• Build security automation and tooling for forward-deployed AI systems.
• Implement AI-specific threat controls including data isolation and model endpoint hardening.
• Integrate security into FDE engineering workflows including CI/CD gates and dependency scanning.
• Triage and respond to security incidents in production AI systems; monitor AI-specific signals.
• Document solutions as reusable patterns, playbooks, and architectural guidance.
• Requires up to 25% travel.
