Job summary

EY is seeking a senior leader for our AI Platform Engineering group to shape the foundational substrate powering EY’s AI-native platform. This player‑coach role combines strategic leadership with hands‑on design, build, and troubleshooting across cloud, on‑prem, edge, and air‑gapped targets.

You will lead a team of AI Infrastructure and AI Systems Engineers, own the delivery roadmap, define entry/exit gates, and ensure reliability, portability, and security in regulated client contexts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 10+ years building or operating enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, or large-scale Kubernetes environments, including deep hands-on systems depth.
• 3+ years leading or directing engineering teams while remaining an active hands-on contributor.
• Track record of owning a platform/infrastructure roadmap and end-to-end architecture.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes distributions and production-scale cluster lifecycle management.
• Experience with disaster recovery, backup, and cross-environment replication.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the AI Platform Infrastructure Engineering team: direct day-to-day and longer-term work, hire and coach engineers, set standards, grow leadership.
• Build hands-on as a senior individual contributor: design, implement, and debug high-risk components like cluster bring-up, GPU enablement, and multi-tenancy.
• Own the infrastructure delivery roadmap: sequence builds, define gates, report progress and trade-offs to leadership.
• Own the infrastructure foundation and cloud-native platform: from bare-metal to Kubernetes, scheduling, multi-tenancy, and production-ready substrate.
• Stand up and operate EY Agentic AI environments across cloud, on-prem, edge, client-managed, air-gapped modes with a consistent stack contract.
• Own secure execution, inference, and routing using Ray Serve, vLLM/NIM/Triton, and NVIDIA OpenShell; Envoy AI Gateway and semantic routing.
• Own operational excellence and platform delivery: define SLOs, on-call, incident reviews, backup, DR, patching, security hardening; partner on CI/CD and GitOps.
