Job summary

EY is seeking a senior leader for its AI Platform Engineering group to guide a team of AI Infrastructure Engineers. You will design, build, and operate the foundational substrate powering EY’s AI-native platform across cloud, on-prem, and edge, while hands-on contributing to the most critical components.

In this player-coach role you’ll set a phased roadmap, ensure reliability and portability, and partner with executives to align strategy with delivery gates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 10+ years building or operating enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, or large-scale Kubernetes environments.
• 3+ years leading or directing engineering teams, while remaining an active hands-on contributor.
• Track record of owning a platform or infrastructure roadmap and architecture end to end.
• Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes distributions (RKE2, EKS/AKS/GKE, K3s) and full cluster lifecycle management at production scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the AI Platform Infrastructure Engineering team: direct day-to-day work, hire, mentor, and set standards.
• Build hands-on as a senior individual contributor: design, implement, and debug the hardest components.
• Own the infrastructure delivery roadmap: define phased builds and report progress to leadership.
• Own the infrastructure foundation and cloud-native platform across cloud, on-prem, edge, and air-gapped targets.
• Stand up and operate EY AI environments across cloud, on-prem, and edge deployments.
• Own secure execution, inference, and routing using Ray Serve, vLLM, Triton, and related tech.
• Own operational excellence, SLOs, incident management, and disaster recovery across environments.
• Own GPU capacity, platform economics, and vendor selection; manage budgets and vendor relations.
