Job summary

EY is seeking a senior leader for the AI Platform Engineering group to own the infrastructure and cloud-native platform that powers EY’s AI-runtime. This player-coach role requires hands-on design, build, and troubleshooting of the most critical platform components, from bare-metal to Kubernetes, across cloud, on-prem, edge, and air-gapped targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 10+ years building or operating enterprise infrastructure or cloud platforms.
• 3+ years leading or directing engineering teams while remaining hands-on.
• Proven track record owning platform/infrastructure roadmap end-to-end.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes and full cluster lifecycle management at production scale.
• Experience with GPU infrastructure and AI inference serving.
• Experience with IaC and GitOps tooling.
• Production infrastructure under compliance, security, or regulatory constraints.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the AI Platform Infrastructure Engineering team; set priorities and remove blockers.
• Hands-on senior IC: design, implement, and debug core platform components.
• Own the infrastructure delivery roadmap with phased capabilities and gates.
• Oversee cloud-native platform across multiple environments including on-prem and edge.
• Own secure execution, inference, and routing; manage model serving components.
• Define SLOs, incident management, backup, DR, and cross-environment replication.
• Partner on CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code for reproducible environments.
• Manage infrastructure budget, capacity planning, and vendor relationships.
