Job summary

Porch Group is hiring a Senior Platform Engineer - AI Platform to lead AI-first platform work, spanning agent orchestration, retrieval, and evaluation harnesses. You will own ECS-based infrastructure, PHP codebases, and MySQL/Aurora data layers in a production setting with high scale.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years building production software, hands-on experience with LLM-backed features, strong PHP, AWS, and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• Over 10 years building and running production software at scale.
• Hands-on experience shipping LLM-backed features with agent orchestration.
• Strong PHP (8.x) in a high-traffic codebase; deep AWS/ECS ops.
• Relational DB skills with MySQL/Aurora; IaC and CI/CD expertise.

Responsibilities

• Build AI features end to end and orchestration for multi-agent workflows.
• Operate ECS container platform, autoscaling, blue/green deployments.
• Architect AWS event-driven pipelines and infrastructure as code.
• Extend PHP services to integrate AI capabilities without destabilizing systems.
• Drive database performance, indexing, migrations, and query tuning.
