Job summary

Porch Group is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer - AI Platform to lead end-to-end AI features within a high-volume product. You will own the PHP application, AWS/ECS infrastructure, and MySQL/Aurora data layer, delivering agent orchestration, retrieval and evaluation harnesses at scale.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of production software experience, hands-on AI feature shipping, and strong PHP and AWS architecture skills.

Qualifications

• 10+ years building and running production software with ownership of large-scale systems.
• Hands-on experience shipping LLM-backed features, agent orchestration and evaluation.
• Strong PHP (8.x) skills in a high-traffic codebase.

Responsibilities

• Build AI features end to end: retrieval, context engineering, structured output and tool calls.
• Design and operate agent orchestration systems with multi-agent workflows.
• Own ECS container platform operations and CI/CD pipelines.
• Architect AWS infrastructure with serverless pipelines and IAM/network design.
• Drive database performance and zero-downtime migrations in MySQL/Aurora.
