Job summary

Moderna Therapeutics in Cambridge, MA seeks an AI Engineer to provide technical leadership for AI software platforms and cloud deployment patterns across Supply Chain and Digital. You will own end-to-end architecture and delivery for AI/data products, including lakehouse patterns, CI/CD, model lifecycle, vector search, and observability.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software, data, or AI engineering experience.
• Experience delivering production ML, GenAI, analytics, automation, or data-intensive systems.
• Expert proficiency with Python and SQL; strong fundamentals in software architecture.
• Hands-on frontend and backend engineering with modern frameworks and APIs.
• Experience architecting and operating LLM/GenAI systems including guardrails and monitoring.
• Exposure to GxP, data integrity, validation, and change control.

Responsibilities

• Define the technical strategy and reference architecture for AI software delivery and cloud data platforms.
• Lead end-to-end Cloud deployment standards across dev, test, validation, and production environments.
• Build and review critical software components, APIs, and platform accelerators for production readiness.
• Establish engineering practices for AI/ML, including CI/CD, IaC, and model/versioning.
• Guide integration of enterprise data sources into trusted data products and decision-support services for multiple domains.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security, governance, and performance targets are met.
