Job summary

Moderna is seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineering leader to shape AI platforms for Supply Chain and Enterprise Digital. You will define architecture, standards, and deployment patterns across cloud environments and collaborate with product, security, and QA teams.

You will deliver scalable GenAI solutions, build lakehouse patterns, model serving, CI/CD, observability, and governance, while mentoring engineers across regions and driving measurable business impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Engineering or related technical field.
• 7+ years of software, data, or AI engineering experience, including 4+ years delivering production ML/GenAI.
• Proficiency with Python and SQL; strong architecture fundamentals; at least one additional language such as Java/Scala/TypeScript.
• Frontend experience with TS/JS and modern framework (React/Angular/Vue/Svelte).
• Backend experience building production APIs with Python/Node.js/Java/Scala; REST/GraphQL; observability and production debugging.
• Experience architecting and operating LLM/GenAI systems (RAG, embeddings, vector search, model evaluation).
• Cloud architecture on AWS/Azure/GCP; IAM, networking, CI/CD, IaC, production support.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for AI software platforms and cloud deployment patterns across Supply Chain and Enterprise Digital.
• Set architecture, standards, and mentoring across regions.
• Own end-to-end architecture and delivery strategy for AI/data products; model serving, vector search, CI/CD, observability.
• Define strategy and reference architecture for AI software delivery, generative AI apps, and cloud-native data platforms.
• Lead deployment standards across development, testing, validation, and production environments; governance.
