Job summary

Moderna seeks a senior technical leader to shape architecture for AI, ML, and Generative AI across Supply Chain and Enterprise Digital. You will define standards, reference architectures, and deployment patterns, working with global teams to turn AI innovations into secure, scalable enterprise products.

You will guide end‑to‑end design, ensure regulatory compliance, and raise the bar for engineering excellence while mentoring engineers across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years in software, data, or AI engineering with 4+ years in production ML/GenAI.
• Expert Python and SQL; knowledge of Java/Scala/TypeScript.
• Frontend experience with TS/JS and modern framework (React/Angular/Vue/Svelte).
• Backend API design with Python/Node.js/Java/Scala; REST/GraphQL.
• Experience architecting and operating LLM/GenAI systems (RAG, embeddings, model eval).
• Cloud architecture on AWS/Azure/GCP; IAM, CI/CD, IaC, production support.
• Experience in regulated environments with GxP, data integrity, validation, change control.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for AI platforms and cloud‑based deployment patterns.
• Set architectural standards and mentor engineers across multiple regions.
• Own end‑to‑end architecture and delivery strategy for AI and data products.
• Define technical strategy and reference architecture for AI software delivery and cloud‑native platforms.
• Lead cloud deployment standards across development, testing, validation, and production environments.
