Job summary

EY in the United States is seeking a senior platform architect to shape the AI platform across cloud and hybrid environments. You will lead the vision, reference architecture, and roadmaps, balancing performance, resilience, and cost while coordinating with stakeholders.

This Challenger Core role focuses on reusable production patterns, trusted runtimes, and scalable AI workloads. It requires strong systems thinking, cloud experience, and the ability to mentor engineers in a fast-paced, globally

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 9–12+ years of relevant cloud, infrastructure, or platform experience.
• Experience designing and operating cloud, SRE, or platform capabilities with production AI workloads.
• Proven record of building a shared platform adopted by multiple product teams.
• Deep cloud architecture experience and judgment on portable patterns for hybrid/multi-cloud.
• Hands-on depth in orchestration, networking, IaC, delivery automation, APIs, and observability.
• Experience operating model-serving and AI lifecycle capabilities including release controls and incident learning.
• Strong cross-functional leadership and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and hybrid office presence.

Responsibilities

• Set the platform direction with AI platform vision and reference architecture.
• Run the platform as a product with roadmaps and adoption metrics.
• Enable portable model access with gateways and stable contracts.
• Architect elastic compute, storage, and network for AI workloads.
• Automate path to production with progressive release and evidence.
• Define trusted agent runtimes for secure execution.
• Engineer for reliability with SLOs and observability.
• Make economics visible by linking usage to unit economics.
• Guide strategic choices on build-versus-buy and portability.
• Build capability by mentoring engineers and turning tech into reusable patterns.
