Job summary

EY is seeking a senior architect for Challenger Core to shape a scalable AI platform across cloud and hybrid environments. You will drive architecture, establish durable patterns, and lead teams to deliver production-ready AI services that balance performance, resilience, and cost.

You will mentor engineers, align senior stakeholders on trade-offs, and ensure secure, observable, and reusable delivery patterns across multiple product teams.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience designing and operating cloud, infrastructure, SRE, or platform capabilities.
• Experience with production AI workloads and platform delivery to multiple product teams.
• Strong judgment about portable patterns for hybrid or multi-cloud constraints.
• Experience leading complex programs and mentoring engineering teams.
• Proven ability to align executives and technical teams around trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Set the platform direction: AI platform vision, reference architecture, roadmap, non-functional standards across cloud, hybrid, and edge environments.
• Run the platform as a product: define service tiers, golden paths, prioritize roadmap, measure adoption and value.
• Enable portable model access: design gateways, stable contracts, policy-aware routing, resilience, and experimentation.
• Architect elastic foundations: shape compute, storage, and network for AI workloads with cost and resilience in mind.
• Automate the path to production: create repeatable patterns with progressive release and evidence built in.
• Define trusted agent runtimes: secure execution patterns for tools, identities, approvals, isolation, and replay.
• Engineer for reliability: set SLOs, observability standards, recovery patterns, and resilience exercises.
• Make economics visible: connect usage, performance, and quality signals to optimize unit economics.
• Guide strategic choices: lead build-vs-buy and portability decisions with cross-functional partners.
• Build capability: mentor platform engineers and SREs to produce reusable production patterns.
