Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Principal AI/ML HPC Specialist to join the TAM team and guide NAMER research labs to enterprise customers through advanced AI/ML transformations.

You’ll lead multi-node GPU cluster deployments, optimize NCCL communication, and design production-grade inference and training pipelines using Slurm and DL frameworks. This role emphasizes customer impact and scalable architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 8+ years of AI/ML or HPC experience.
• 3+ years in designing or consulting on large-scale ML training/inference architectures with customer impact.
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation in software/cloud/AI/ML industries.
• Experience with major DL frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX).
• Demonstrated ability to be a trusted technical advisor to enterprise customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic technical engagements for enterprise AI/ML workloads, incl. distributed training.
• Architect and validate production-grade AI/ML training and inference solutions using Slurm, PyTorch, and SageMaker HyperPod.
• Enable customer success by supporting HPC capabilities and LLM/pinN models.
• Improve training throughput and GPU utilization; drive operational efficiency and cost governance.
• Partner with service teams on HPC-AI convergence and provide field training.
