Job summary

AWS is seeking a Principal AI/ML HPC Specialist to lead strategic technical engagements and guide NAMER research labs to enterprise customers. You will design production-grade AI/ML training and inference solutions, integrating Slurm, PyTorch, SageMaker HyperPod, and GPU clusters at scale.

You’ll partner with TAMs, SAs, and service teams to drive HPC-to-AI convergence, optimize NCCL communications, and deliver cost-governed, reliable cloud-based AI/ML infrastructure across large enterprises.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of working with Data & AI related technologies in roles including AI/ML, analytics, storage or databases.
• 3+ years designing or consulting on large-scale ML training or inference in a customer-facing role.
• 10+ years IT development or implementation in software, cloud, or AI/ML industries.
• Demonstrated ability to serve as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise customers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver strategic technical engagements and deep dives for enterprise AI/ML workloads.
• Architect and validate production-grade AI/ML training and inference solutions.
• Enable customer success with HPC capabilities, LLMs, MLOps pipelines and governance.
• Improve model training throughput and GPU/Trainium utilization across multi-node clusters.
• Serve as trusted advisor for AI/ML infrastructure decisions spanning compute, networking, and storage.
