Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Principal AI/ML HPC Specialist to join the TAM team in the NAMER region.

You will lead strategic technical engagements, architect production-grade AI/ML training and inference solutions, and enable customer success across distributed GPU clusters and HPC workflows. You will collaborate with enterprise stakeholders, design high‑scale training architectures, and drive operational excellence with NCCL optimization, Slurm-based scheduling, and AWS Deep Learning

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with Data & AI technologies including AI/ML, analytics, databases, or storage.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, or consulting on large-scale ML training or inference architectures in a customer-facing role.
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in software, cloud computing, or AI/ML industries.
• Demonstrated ability to serve as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise customers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver strategic technical engagements—lead deep technical dives and performance optimization for enterprise AI/ML workloads.
• Architect and validate innovative solutions—design production-grade AI/ML training/inference platforms using Slurm, PyTorch FSDP/DDP/DeepSpeed, SageMaker HyperPod, and GPU clusters.
• Enable customer success—assist customers with MLOps pipelines, distributed data processing, and observability of GPU/Trainium workloads.
• Enable business-critical outcomes—improve model training throughput, NCCL communications, and cluster utilization; contribute to product roadmaps and reference architectures.
