Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. seeks a Principal AI/ML HPC Specialist to join our TAM team in NAMER. You will guide enterprise customers through scalable AI/ML deployments, from distributed training on GPU clusters to production-grade inference, leveraging Slurm, SageMaker HyperPod, and advanced NCCL tuning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 8+ years in AI/ML, distributed computing, or GPU-accelerated infrastructure.
• 3+ years in customer-facing ML training/inference architectures.
• 10+ years IT development/consulting in software/cloud/AI/ML.
• Experience with major deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX).
• Proven ability to act as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive technical deep-dives and performance optimization for enterprise AI/ML workloads.
• Design and implement production-grade AI/ML training and inference solutions using Slurm-based scheduling and distributed frameworks.
• Support customers in HPC capabilities, including LLMs, PINNs, and surrogate models, with MLOps pipelines and distributed data processing.
• Improve model training throughput and GPU/Trainium utilization across multi-node clusters; drive proactive monitoring and capacity planning.
