Job summary

EY Challenger Core is advancing AI-enabled services by building a shared knowledge platform. The role leads architecture, dimensions of retrieval, and governance, driving end-to-end lighthouse implementations from prototype to production.

You will shape organizational memory, design federated semantics, and collaborate with security, legal, and domain experts to ensure trusted, scalable knowledge systems across EY’s global offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study.
• 9-12+ years of relevant experience.
• Substantial experience in data, information, solution, or platform architecture, including ownership of production AI, search, or knowledge systems.
• Enterprise delivery of a shared knowledge, search, graph, or grounded-AI capability across varied sources and organizational boundaries.
• Hands‑on technical depth with semantic, graph, or retrieval technologies, strong SQL, and a general‑purpose programming language.
• Data integration: designing pipelines that connect analytical, document, event, and operational information with production controls.
• Policy‑aware architecture: evidence of access, provenance, quality, and lifecycle controls.
• Architecture judgment: prototypes and operational evidence to make sound trade‑offs.
• Cross‑functional leadership: guiding complex decisions and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Set the knowledge direction and own the target architecture and roadmap for knowledge, retrieval, and grounding for AI products.
• Design organizational memory with a federated approach and shared meaning across domains.
• Translate business questions with domain experts to define concepts, relationships, and boundaries for AI systems.
• Engineer trusted ingestion patterns to bring diverse sources into the platform with governance.
• Build effective retrieval by combining search, semantic, graph, and structured methods and exposing trade‑offs.
• Make evidence inspectable with citations, provenance, quality signals, and evaluation hooks.
• Embed policy in the path by partnering with security, privacy, records, and legal teams on use and deletion policies.
• Prove the architecture through lighthouse implementations from prototype to production.
• Operate and improve with service objectives, observability, and incident learnings.
• Build shared capability with reference components and mentorship across teams.
