Job summary

T-Mobile USA, Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineer, Forward Deployment to embed within a business unit and drive the technical agenda for agentic AI delivery. You will mentor engineers, own end-to-end solution design, and interact with BU managers to track progress and ROI.

The role blends hands-on engineering with leadership accountability, focusing on AI systems in production, data integrations, and measurable outcomes within the forward deployment domain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• 4–7+ years production engineering with hands-on LLM deployment: prompt engineering, RAG architecture, agent orchestration.
• 7–10+ years experience in solutions engineering or forward deployment roles.

Responsibilities

• Drive the technical agenda for net-new agentic AI delivery within the assigned business domain.
• Design and deliver agentic AI solutions in live production environments with system integrations and RAG pipelines.
• Mentor Engineers co-deployed in the domain; provide code review and coaching on delivery standards.
• Contribute to practice reporting and document failure modes and performance gaps.
