Job summary

Slalom is seeking a Senior Consultant, AI Engineer to design, build, evaluate, and deploy production-grade AI systems for clients. You will own implementation workstreams, contribute to solution architecture, and deliver end-to-end AI solutions across cloud platforms and data environments.

You will collaborate with Responsible AI specialists, work hands-on with major hyperscalers, and mentor teams while delivering measurable business value.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience designing and building data, AI, software, or machine learning solutions in real-world business environments.
• Hands‑on experience building production‑quality software using Python and modern software engineering practices.
• Experience with enterprise AI platforms including Azure OpenAI/Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, Databricks Mosaic AI, Snowflake Cortex.
• Experience with APIs, data pipelines, ETL/ELT, cloud services, and enterprise data integration patterns.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to AI solution architecture and own implementation workstreams.
• Design and build AI‑enabled applications and systems, including LLM‑powered applications and retrieval‑augmented generation solutions.
• Develop evaluation approaches and ensure production readiness, including monitoring and governance considerations.
• Mentor peers and clients on AI engineering practices and modern AI development tools.
• Communicate technical decisions and project progress to client stakeholders.
